Tucked along the water's edge of Lake Champlain, this open concept private retreat is the perfect place to escape the day to day and ease into retirement. The homeowners had a very clear vision of their dream home and Hillview Design helped our clients execute the plans. The focus was on single floor living with easy access to the outdoors with decks overlooking the lake. A mono stringer staircase leads to the downstairs where guest rooms, a home office, and exercise space are ready for when the children and grandchildren come to visit. The windows and glass doors provide lakeviews and natural light throughout the day. Regardless of the time of year, the ever-changing landscape can be enjoyed by the gas fireplace or the soaking tub in the primary bath. The overall interior aesthetic is elegant, simple, and clean. The stacked stone and Shou Sugi Ban siding provide a sustainable and low maintenance exterior.
