About Red House
Thanks for your interest in us at Red House. We are a company of people that love to build and have come together from a variety of backgrounds, all with the common interest of providing works of timeless craftsmanship, regardless of scale or scope. In addition, we have a good time doing it and enjoy a level of professional camaraderie rarely seen in businesses today. We are a full-service building company that employs just over 20 full time employees.
In addition to the new construction and restoration of residential and select commercial buildings, we also provide services including renovations, additions, cabinetry, custom woodworking and metalworking. With all our work we provide a high attention to detail, schedule and project budgets. We take great pride in making sure our buildings are well crafted and will endure the tests of time. We likewise take just as much pride in making sure our projects are well managed and that the building process is transparent, satisfying and enjoyable for our clients. We work hard to develop detailed and accurate budgets, and we carefully track these budgets throughout the project. It is important to us that our client relations, like our buildings, endure the test of time.
Working with a spectrum of architects and designers, we have been very successful at utilizing the historic architecture and building styles of the Adirondack camps, New England waterfront estates, and farm house vernacular as inspiration for many of our building projects. In addition, we have successfully executed a number of distinctive, leading-edge contemporary design projects. Regardless of building style, we like to think that our construction projects have a timeless quality in their design and craftsmanship. We are conscientious about our building practices and endorse green building methods. We aim to provide highly energy-efficient buildings and utilize sustainable building materials to all extent feasible. We work closely with energy efficiency organizations including, Efficiency Vermont, Vermont Energy Rated Homes and the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED program.
